Carly Faye Loewenthal, M.S.Ed is a teacher and educational consultant with Wild Roots Education LLC. She was the playful, imaginative kid — the one full of ideas, questions, and creative energy who sometimes went unnoticed because she was “doing fine.” That experience stayed with her. Today she’s especially drawn to children with that same spark — the curious, creative ones whose eyes light up when they’re given space to explore, invent, play, and follow their own rhythm. She loves matching their energy, helping them feel truly seen so they can build confidence, internal motivation, and genuine joy in learning.
With a Master’s of Science in Education from Hofstra University and certifications in Elementary Education (K-6), and Gifted endorsed, Carly brings over a decades worth of classroom experience working with gifted, advanced, and diverse learners. After stepping away from traditional teaching to focus on her own healing, she became a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Life Coach and trained in somatic trauma therapy, nervous system regulation, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She is currently in a three year program where she is training to become a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
Recently, Carly returned to education with a richer understanding of how stress, regulation, and subconscious patterns shape the homeschooling journey for both kids and parents. This perspective also fuels her private coaching practice, where she supports adults with trauma-informed, mindset, emotional and nutrition-focused transformation.
At Wild Roots Education LLC, Carly teaches students directly while offering educational consultation. Whether working with gifted learners, neurodiverse children, or families transitioning out of conventional schooling, she provides thoughtful guidance and practical strategies that help families move forward with clarity and confidence. She is especially passionate about building community, involving parents, and adapting to each child’s unique path.
Carly believes homeschooling is at its best when it nurtures the whole child and the whole family. She brings warmth, creativity, and hard-earned wisdom to every partnership — always learning and growing right alongside the families she serves.
At Wild Roots Education, our mission is to nurture each child’s unique potential through compassionate, individualized learning experiences rooted in both heart and science. We provide holistic tutoring and educational services that empower children to grow strong foundations—academically, emotionally, and developmentally. By integrating research-based practices with a deep understanding of the whole child, we help families cultivate joy, confidence, and lasting growth.
At Wild Roots Education, we envision a world where every child—regardless of background or ability—has access to the knowledge, support, and environment they need to flourish. We see a future where learning is joyful, deeply rooted in each child’s unique strengths, and nurtured through compassion and science. Our vision is to empower families with tools that honor the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—so that all children can grow with confidence, curiosity, and resilience.
We believe that with strong roots, every child can rise.
We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Each child receives tutoring that is tailored to their learning style, needs, and interests—designed to help them grow strong from the inside out.
We honor the emotional, cognitive, and sensory needs of every learner. Our sessions are not just about academics—they’re about building confidence, curiosity, and joy.
Our approach is informed by current science—from neurodevelopment and literacy pathways to behavioral supports and nutrition. We stay curious so we can serve you better.
We believe families should feel informed, not overwhelmed. Alongside our services, we offer curated tools and resources to help you better understand and support your child.
We are committed to making foundational knowledge freely available on our platform—because no child should be denied the chance to thrive due to lack of access.
